Exercise and nutrition Most of us practice a lifestyle that is not at all beneficial to ourbody.
Because of the fast-paced modern world we live in, our bodies are often exposed to health risks that lead to degenerative diseases like cancer, heart attack, diabetes and other sickness that takes away our hard earned money for medicine and hospital bills. Why do we risk our health when we can take good care of our bodies through proper exercise and nutrition? This is a question that most of us just ignore and shrug off.
But it is important that we know what benefits we can get from regular and appropriate exercise and nutrition to incorporate them in our daily routine. Exercise and nutrition go hand in hand. One cannot do exercise with insufficient nutritional intake. Likewise, one cannot maximize optimum nutrition without regular exercise.
Exercise, according to New Oxford American Dictionary, is any activity requiring physical effort, carried out especially to sustain or improve health and fitness.
Hence, one does not need to enroll in a gym class or put his/her self in a vigorous activity in order to exercise. In essence, walking alone can be a form of exercise. Instead of driving the family car just to buy groceries from the nearby department store, why not walk with someone and bring a wagon or a basket?
Instead of just slouching on the couch playing video games, why not go bask in the sun and play football? Sometimes, because of the technology that we all enjoy now, we often forget to exercise and do some sweating. Nutrition, on the other hand, is the intake of all the vitamins and minerals that our body needs. In a perfect world without food processing that destroys the inherent nutrients contained in the food, go, grow and glow foods are supposedly complete with all the nutrients our body needs.
